Moderators: Rule & Conduct [Updated] Empty Moderators: Rule & Conduct [Updated]

    1. Do not abuse your moderation powers. Your job is to deal with anything that breaks the general rules and conduct.

    2. Just because you are a moderator, does not mean you are superior to the members. Your status is as equal as being a member.
    3. Respect other moderators.

    4. Do not encourage flaming and trolling.

    5. Dealing with EDITING posts: Posts that show offensive language, censor bypassing, and/or anything else that seems to break the rules and conduct can be edit. Only edit part of the post, unless the entire post deems offensive/has broken the rules. Leave your signature/stamp and reason for edit.

    6. Dealing with MOVING threads: Threads can be moved to a different section if that thread is in the wrong category and is better placed in another category, based on content. Spam threads will be sent to off-topic section. After moving the thread, reply to the thread, stating that it has been moved and with reason. Notify the creator of the thread via private message in the forums, and provide him or her the link to the thread in its new location.

    7. Dealing with LOCKING threads: Threads that are often locked are those usually in the “Support” section of the forums. Threads that contain questions that are answered by someone (and the person that asked the question sees acknowledges it), you may post a reply, saying that the question has been answered and acknowledged, thus the thread can be locked.

    8. Dealing with DELETING threads: This should be decided and done by an administrator only.

    9. If there is a situation in which you are unsure whether to edit, move, or lock a thread, ask other moderators. If still unsure, seek an administrator.

    10. For chat box moderators: Give a person three warnings if he or she has been breaking the rules of conduct. After three warnings, you may ban that person from the chat box and inform an administrator about it.

    11. Members have five warnings before they are banned from the entire forum. Moderators have three warnings to be degraded back to a member. Inform an administrator if you planned on issuing a warning to a member/moderator with reason.

    12. If any questions, feel free to contact an administrator.

    13. Remember, you are assigned to moderate different forum sections. If you wish to change your moderation, feel free to ask an administrator. If you spot a post/thread that is against the rules, inform a moderator assigned to that forum section or an administrator.

    14. Above all, enjoy and have fun!
